“Human Traces records the patterns unintentionally created by the waste and debris of modern civilization. At first look, these photographs appear to be colorful abstractions in
the spirit of Jackson Pollock or Gerhard Richter and, indeed, they can be
appreciated as such. They are gorgeous to behold. But at another level, these are works of hyper-realism that document a
civilization that generates waste and stains at a prolific rate. Like an
archeological artifact, they are traces of a civilization drowning in its dregs.
